Hmmm nearly done with Tuesday already...

Got a semi busy week ahead... no West Perth game to do this week as we have a bye due to the State Game between WA and Vic (aussie rules for those new round here that dont know lol)... but, I am doing the stats for the WA State team :-) was meant to be going down to training tonight for team photos but apparently the shirts arent ready, might still drop in anyway... Then Jumper Presentations (and likely our photos) on Thursday night, then the game on Saturday

Then on Sunday I have the 14km fun run/walk I signed up for... in my case definitely a walk! Have been walking 2-3 times a week in prep, including a few longer 90 min + walks, and surviving that, and with the pace I've been doing should hopefully make the 14km inside 2 hours, or there abouts... that'll be the ideal aim, but will just be happy to make it! Am sure whatever the result I am going to be stiff and sore on Monday!

Just signed up for the next semester of the current radio/broadcasting course that I am doing, should be good, moving on from the basics we have done this semester in the Cert III level course and developing and evolving those further. Plus Russ our course co-ordinator said that one of the guys who did our course last year and is now working on a local GBLT Radio program wants us to do some work for that leading up to this years Pride Parade, recording some promos and ads and interviews beforehand and maybe even some stuff on the night, so looking forward to that if it happens

Oh and still waiting on my new car! They said 3-4 weeks for delivery, and it will be 3 weeks tomorrow since I agreed and signed, so should be soon... hopefully!

Good for you on the walking!! I should really push myself and sign up for an actual race. I haven't done one in years. You've inspired me!

likes it when you get inspired ;-) lol this is my first real one, and just walking it, more doing it as a way to force me to get out and walk and do exercise, dropped about 5kg in the last 8 weeks or so without doing a lot so happy with that

and cool, I went in thinking I'd be more into production/behind the scenes stuff, but enjoying the on air stuff...sports radio stuff is my main idea but enjoy any form of radio

what "game" is it that you are talking about? for some reason, knowing you are australian, i'm thinking rugby? no idea why.

have fun at the 14k event! i've never heard of 14k before. we only have 5k or 10k, and then half-marathons or full marathons. remember to stretch before and AFTER! very important! :)

yay for new cars! i wish i could buy a new car right now, but my little baby needs to last at least 5 more years!

AFL or Australian Rules Football

Not that I play, just sit up in the stand watching and assisting :-)

Think 14km is more just the distance that it worked out course wise, it circles around the CBD, through the main road traffic tunnel under part of the city (yes they are closing it for the morning lol) Also the other main run here is whats called the city to surf, in a couple of months time, starting in the cbd and heads to the beach, and thats 12km, so other runs then to work out to a similar distance (this one is a little longer but flatter course)

And yeah I'll be stretching lol this is a fun/fundraiser as much as anything else so theres a lot of people doing it who havent run/walked/exercised seriously in ages, so theres been a lot of stuff go out and on the website about training regimes, warming up etc, and they'll be doing the same on the morning I am sure... and with an 8am almost winter start here (and maybe rainining) am gonna need the warming up! lol

cheers, and semi prepared lol could have worked and prepared more... but been trying to find that right balance... I want to get into and stick with some exercising, but keep it fun and relaxed and just part of my day to day life... I know if I went overboard and threw myself into it too much I'd end up resenting and avoiding it
