Feb. 28th, 2006 08:45 pmHow far have any of you ever taken your beleifs, your political thoughts, ideals.... joined protestest? joined an action movement? joined a political party?
I've considered joining a political party before, of putting my money where my mouth is, or my actions where my thoughts are... part of me has always held back because I am still not 100% sure where I am and what I am and where I am going... I mean I know i am definitely left leaning, but do I go and join something like a green party, which is more extreme left, may align more with most of my views (as they are now) yet is smaller and more minimal and has less of a chance of making an impact? or go with the main political left party, which is more mainstream, more widespread in its views, yet overall has more influence? yet is also riddled with problems, including the out of date union influence, and major internal factional issues and ninfighting, where the grass roots members dont have the influence or pwer they should?
