New Years...
Jan. 2nd, 2007 01:08 amWell New Years this time round was.... wel, ok... not the worst new years eve, got out and had some fun and a few drinks and some company... but nothing special or outstanding, not the best new years, or even the best night out in general, just a night out...
An enjoyable meal to start with, though the bruschetta was almost too overloaded, near to the point of being uneatable (well ok just messy lol) but the main was good, t-bone steak marinated in cougar bourbon with more of the bourbon in the sauce, yum...
Then off to the Greyhounds... was ok, and maybe something I could see doing and enjoying on another night when it wasnt so busy... but this time, overcrowded, and not a great crowd, some classy dressed up people but also many families and, well, yeah... (am trying hard not to be rude and keep using the word ferals here lol) a real mix of people lets say...
So we headed off to the Casino... first time I've actually been in on the gambling floor there (been to the complex at other times for concerts and sporting events etc)... enjoyable, but didn't get really into it, again maybe cause it was so busy and i didn't have the chance to really orientate myself to what goes on etc... midnight itself and we were inside the pub there, after waiting outside for 10-15 min just to get in... packed shoulder to shoulder on a warm night, making it like a sweatbox... a couple of friendly cheek kisses from a couple of my friends i was there with, and thats it, no kissing of strangers or anything like that... ah well, hopefully the year will go up from there lol
Then the long queue on the way out waiting for a taxi... that said it rolled over pretty quick, guess the good thing about the casino, at that time of night theres lots of people going to there after starting off elsewhere so plenty of taxi's coming in...
Anyway, now to see what the next 12 months holds..., well and to work on what it brings forth, not just letting it happen
